4 Tips for a Healthy Chevy

When you buy a car, you want it to perform at its best for as long as possible. Here are some tips to extend the life of your vehicle:

1. Clean the Inside, Not Just the Outside

It might seem like enough to regularly wash the outside of your car, but it’s important to keep your interior clean. Dirt, spilled liquids, and other litter can be corrosive or abrasive. Vacuum and sponge your car’s interior every time you wash your car, not just every once in a while.

2. Protect the Paint

Your car’s paint looks nice, but it also protects the body of your car from rust. Park in the shade whenever possible to avoid faded paint, or purchase a car cover. Make sure to touch up any nicks as soon as possible to prevent rust from forming.

3. Rotate the Tires

Rotating your tires will ensure that you get the maximum life out of them by evenly distributing the tire wear. Your owner’s manual should specify how often you should rotate your tires, but if not rotate every 6,000 to 7,500 miles.

4. Drive with Care

Driving with care means there will be longer intervals between repairs. Accelerate slowly, don’t let it idle, don’t hold the steering wheel at extreme angles, and consolidate your short driving trips.
