Tips for Fuel Efficient Driving

Whether you’re going on a road trip or simply driving to and from work every day, gas prices are probably on your mind. These tips will help you get from place to place without having to break the bank.

Close Your Windows

Open windows will also increase drag, causing them to use more gas than air conditioning. Though air conditioning also uses up gas, it is the better choice if you need to keep cool.

Check Your Tire Pressure

Make sure that the air pressure in your tires is at manufacturer-recommended levels. Just one underinflated tire can greatly increase fuel consumption.

Go Slow

We know you want to get where you’re going as quickly as possible, but driving slowly will actually help you save on gas. Aerodynamic drag increases the faster you go, and will cause you to burn gas more quickly.
