Merit Chevrolet Hosts a Car Wash Fundraiser for East Twins Babe Ruth Baseball League

On Saturday June 1st, team members, coaches and parents of the 'East Twins 11 Youth Stealth' team gathered at Merit Chevrolet to wash cars and sell hotdogs as part of a fundraiser for their team.  The "East Twins 11 Youth Stealth ' team is one of the two teams that Merit Chevrolet sponsors within the East Twins Babe Ruth Baseball League. Merit Chevrolet supplied the water, soap, equipment, grill, hot dogs, and grill chef – and the team supplied the muscle and kept all of the proceeds from the wash as well as from the hot dog stand to help fund their team. It turned out to be one of the very few sunny and rain-free days this Spring!

The Babe Ruth League, Inc. is a non-profit, educational organization dedicated to developing better citizens by providing properly supervised baseball competition for 5 through 18 year old players. This League was established in 1951 and incorporated in 1952. There are now over 6,300 leagues and more than 43,800 teams in the United States and Canada.
